"Engagement, Experience & Entertainment" - Achieving Outstanding Outcomes for Your Events

When:  Jul 24, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (ET)
Associated with  Detroit Chapter

The events industry is fast paced - always increasing in new ideas, changing trends, new vendors and often limited budgets.  This challenges us all, from professionals who are veterans to those who are new to event production.  We must continually find new, efficient and effective opportunities to increase our value and results for our clients.

This presentation is designed to serve all event professionals from those who work in catering and rentals to planners, entertainment and more.  The root meaning of the word entertain is “to hold together.”  This means all event vendors have a stake in the process of entertaining clients and their guests.

Engagement, Experience & Entertainment will present a unique perspective on how to achieve outstanding results by focusing on behavioral strategy.  By attending, you will take away three key learning objectives:

        • How to design dynamic environmental elements to facilitate desired guest behaviors

        • How to use relationship strategy to build rapport and engage attendees

        • How to use the “exceeding expectations principle” to deliver outstanding results

In addition to the learning objectives, you will learn about common mistakes, missed opportunities and tips to maximize the value from your entertainment partners.

The educational session will be presented by Nicholas Hardy, the Founder and Executive Producer of the Elysium Experience.  Nicholas began his career in events as an amateur DJ in 1996 and proceeded to develop it into a hybrid approach of using live music with DJing by the mid 2000s.  Concurrently, Nicholas studied music education and pursued a career as a music educator from 2004 - 2011.  By witnessing behavioral strategies in the classroom and developing engagement skills for event clients, it led to a focus on the ideal results of entertainment being guest behaviors.  Today, the Elysium Experience designs and executes strategic audiovisual & entertainment solutions for corporate, non-profit and social clients.
